| | | | The Electrical Data Form for controls components is intended to reduce the spare parts complexity and required training while improving maintainability and MTTR for Ford plants. The components list should be used by the OEM in conjunction with Ford Supplier Partners to select common components.
The ATO Controls Group requires the OEMs to review all applications with the ATO Supplier Partners program Managers. The ultimate responsibility for evaluating recommendations for particular components from the Supplier Partner lies with the OEM who is the most familiar with their machine characteristics. The OEM is required to incorporate appropriate components from the common components list in a suitable manner to ensure expected machine performance OR provide a valid technical justification on a deviation with the supporting R&M information on the Product Evaluation Document for the alternate component. In no case shall the OEM be allowed to defer responsibility for machine performance or suitable machine design.
